Every week we celebrate our children’s successes in our celebration assembly. This is held every Friday morning at 9.00am for the whole school. We encourage our parents and carers to come and join in our celebrations.

Our badges and certificates:

Mirror Award Certificate: Linked to PSHCE and Citizenship, each week two pupils from each class are rewarded with a Mirror Award Certificate based on the values of motivation, integrity, respect, resilience, open-mindedness and reflection.

Siddal Always Pupil Badge: Always Pupils are rewarded with a stunning gold star badge which they proudly wear.  In order to receive one of these badges, pupils need to read regularly, always do their homework, treat others with respect and make sure they are shining examples each day.

Reading Bookworm Badge: These are awarded when a pupil has read 20 (Bronze), 40 (Silver), 60 (Gold), 100 (Black), 200 (Platinum), 300 (trophy) and 400 (choose a book of choice to keep) books and completed a detailed book review.

Maths Times Table Challenge Badge: These are awarded when a pupil successfully knows their 1-12x in order (1 Star), 1-12x out of order (2 Stars), 1-12 multiplication and division (3 stars) and square, cubed, square root, prime and prime factors (Ultimate). All pupils achieved are placed on the ‘Wall of Frame’.

Mathletics Certificate: Pupils have the opportunity to earn the Bronze Certificate (1000 points earned in a week), Silver Certificate (5 x Bronze Certificates), Gold Certificate (4 x Silver Certificates).

Dojo Certificate: Linked to the schools positive behaviour management policy. Dojos can be redeemed for prizes each Friday from the Dojo trolley. Pupils with the highest number of weekly Dojos are presented with a certificate in our Friday celebration assembly. There is also a special certificate for the pupil in each class who has earned the greatest number of Dojo points over the course of the half term.

1k a Day Certificate: At Siddal Primary School, we encourage all children to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Taking part in the 1k a day is just one aspect of this. Pupils who complete the 1k a day on ten separate occasions are rewarded with this certificate.

Attendance and Punctuality Awards are also acknowledged during our Friday celebration assembly with the winning class having the pleasure of Pippa the Punctuality Penguin or Roary the Attendance Lion in their classroom for a week!
